Job Summary:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Associate QA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience who is passionate about quality and committed to delivering high-performing, bug-free products. You’ll be involved across the QA lifecycle—from test design to defect triaging and release validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Case Design & Execution
Design, write, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- API Testing
Perform functional and integration testing on RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Bug Reporting & Triage
Identify, log, and prioritize defects in bug tracking tools like JIRA. Collaborate with developers for faster resolution.
- Regression & Release Testing
Conduct thorough regression, smoke, and sanity tests before each release to ensure product stability.
- Test Coverage & Documentation
Ensure adequate coverages for all features and document test strategies, test cases, and test execution results.
- Collaboration & Agile Participation
Work in cross-functional agile teams, contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, QA methodologies, and SDLC/STLC
- Good experience with manual testing
- Experience in API testing (Postman, Swagger, or similar tools)
- Good command of SQL for backend testing and data validation
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git
- Knowledge of Python or any scripting language
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with test management tools
- Knowledge of performance or security testing basics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Certifications in QA or Automation (ISTQB, etc.) are a plus
